Churches Together in the Deepings have organised a General Election Hustings to enable voters to hear from candidates before casting their votes.

The event is now a bit of an election tradition with similar events having been held at the last two previous elections.

This year's event will take place on Monday, 2 December at the Deepings School Conference Centre. Doors will open at 6.30pm for a prompt 7pm start.

In recent weeks, Christians and churches in the Deepings have been praying about the general election, not just about the outcome but also for the candidates, voters and everyone else involved.

A spokesperson for Churches Together commented: "We look forward to an informative, yet friendly event ,as one would always expect in the Deepings.

"We ask people to attend with open minds and good humour."

The 2019 General Election Candidates for the South Holland and the Deepings constituency are:
Martin Blake (Green)
John Hayes (Conservative,
Davina Kirby (Lib-Dem)
Mark Popple (Labour)
Rick Stringer (Independent)
